The surface must be clean, dry and free of other coatings, cleaning residue and loose dirt. Good preparation is the most important step for good results.

Most coatings are touch-dry within an hour. Allow 24 hours for full performance before exposing the surface to water or heavy use.

It depends on the surface and how much wear and cleaning it gets. Hard surfaces such as glass and stone hold protection for years; frequently washed fabrics need reapplying more often. When water stops beading, simply reapply.
